my favourite mdzs/cql character dynamic will always always be jiang cheng and lan wangji. born to be mortal enemies forced to be in laws is the funniest relationship of all time. that brief establishing shot in cql episode 2 of them sitting in a tea house at different tables, facing away from each other, not talking is like a sister to me. wei wuxian's death turned a mutual disdain into outright hatred and now sixteen years of boiling rage down the drain because wei wuxian had to get RESURRECTED like an IDIOT and now they have to MAKE NICE and try their utmost not to THROW THINGS at each other at FAMILY DINNERS. which they have now because LIFE SUCKS. such an unparalleled dynamic that i'll be thinking about until i die.

Leo Valdez, contrary to popular belief formed by the fact that most people only see him around others when he's fighting for his life, does not use his fire all the time.

It's been Plan C since he was eight, afterall, the screams of his mother and crackling of kindling eternally echoing in his ears. It itches under his skin, rages through his veins, burns in his chest, it wants out, but he claws at it and buries it down, down, down where it cannot hurt anyone. Ivory bones under charred skin flash through his mind, flames devouring everything around–

He pulls his ratty blanket tighter around himself, shoving away the need to drive away the winter chill with his lifeblood. There are angry red marks down his arms, lacerations decorating his ribs, oozing blood, and he had been taught how to burn them, to force his skin to yield to flames, to use fire to heal, but he doesn't, because nothing that eats away at living flesh can be good — it's the Devil's power, afterall.

He uses it to save his friends, to save the world, because the damage it can do is smaller than if he doesn't. It tears him into pieces, skin flaking off and bones crumbling to ash, and that is his repentance, his purgatory, his Passion, his crucifixion for his own sins–

And then he's back and he binds his hands in gloves and cuffs imbued with the need to trap, to keep his simmering underneath his skin, to contain the fire in his bones and his bones only. He is not to burn anything ever again if he can help it.

Leo Valdez does not use his fire.

He looks so mysterious with that all black traditional clothes, creepy af eye patch, an exorcist job, and an entourage, but this man sees a teenager and just opens his mouth like there's no tomorrow. Like bruh, you don't need to over share.

I don't know if I should feel sorry or laugh whenever he trauma-dumps to a literal teenager who wants nothing to do with him, or to his high school crush who also wants nothing to do with him, but he doesn't know that he's sharing the saddest parts of his youth so casually.

I don't know what to feel about him. He's such a yapper.

If you share a washing machine / laundry room / clothes line with others, be mindful and considerate of the people you're sharing laundry facilities with.

For example, if you're prone to forgetting you put in a load of laundry and letting it sit in the machine for hours after it finished, then set an alarm for when your laundry is expected to be finished so you don't forget.

And if you share clothes lines with others, make sure you hang your clothes in a manner that there's plenty of space for others to hang up their laundry too. Have your laundry all the way to the left or all the way to the right instead of just taking up the middle of the line, or if there's multiple lines start hanging from either the very front or very back line instead of only taking up the middle line.

Of course it's certainly not the end of the world to forget every now and then, we all forget sometimes. But, if you are consistently letting your laundry sit in the machine for hours or days after it finishes you are inviting mold to grow in the machine, which can cause anyone else who uses the machine to have laundry smelling like mold and/or make allergies act up. Plus it is inconveniencing others by occupying the machine when it otherwise could be empty allowing others to do their laundry.

And if you hang up your laundry in the very center of the laundry line instead of off to the side you are using up space that otherwise could be used for your neighbor or roommate to hang up their laundry. Say if you hang up your laundry in the center with a meter of free space on both the left and ride sides, that means your neighbor or roommate could have otherwise hung up their blanket that's over a meter wide now can't unless they move your laundry.

And generally, it's nicer if people can keep their laundry together on lines next to each other instead of having to split it around someone else's laundry. When people can keep their laundry hanging together it makes it easier to keep track of whose laundry is whose.

Those aus where the characters never meet but it’s hannigram and they just don’t have a reason to. Not that that would stop them but maybe Will was recommended a different psychiatrist or left the field entirely, dropped off the face of the earth. He would be the talk of psychiatric circles but Hannibal would never have a reason or opportunity to seek him out. Hear his name in passing and move on, never see his face and fall in love. And maybe they walk by each other but by the time they look back it’s too late. A brushing of shoulders Hannibal would find rude and that Will would go out of his way to avoid but didn’t. A scent that Hannibal inhales and can’t let go of (he wants to, it bothers him) but can’t trace its source because Will already walked away. But he had gone still. Just for a moment, uncertain of why…

They never do get an answer. Not this time. Perhaps they’ll both feel something missing, distantly and locked away.

It’s like outside forces divine intervention are keeping them apart.

here's a take you can cancel me for: it's exhausting when transmasc spaces require censoring of any mentions / discussion of pregnancy or periods under the premise of not wanting to trigger people. because I'm sorry but if you are specifically in a space that exists for the discussion of the unique issues facing trans men / afab people then you cannot prioritize your own discomfort to shut down normal everyday conversations. you cannot hold your inability to regulate your own social media consumption over someone discussing their own body, not yours, because you have framed dysphoria as the universal hallmark of the trans experience and cannot fathom when a trans masc person would be glad or excited about the prospect of getting to have their own child, and other people are sharing in that joy. there are servers and chatrooms for people who are not comfortable discussing any aspects of what the vast majority of adults experience where you would be welcome to talk about sanitized topics.
